Jagua means dog in Guarani, the language of the native Paraguayan. Dignidad means dignity in Spanish. The back print is Teju Jagua, a Paraguayan myth.

The model is a Paraguayan Mitos, Teju Jagua, a kind of Japanese "Yokai". It has the body of a lizard and the heads of seven dogs.

The myth is that a god named Tau fell in love with a woman named Kelana, kidnapped her and raped her, and Kelana became pregnant.
So, seven myth brothers were born. Teju Jagua is the eldest of them all. This is a sad story of monsters born out of sin and greed.

His brothers and sisters also have a very sad story.

The design is based on Teju Jagua's original drawing (back print), and the seven faces are divided into four dogs, each dogs have own name. This is the "Dignity Dog".

If you look closely, you can see that the tail of the "Dignity Dog" is the forehead and ears of the "Justice Dog".

I was inspired by the quote of Bobby Seale, Chairman of the Black Panther Party of the Civil Rights Movement, who said, "You don't fight racism with racism, the best way to fight racism is with solidarity." I interpreted this as a call for dignity, justice, and freedom in solidarity, and gave these four characters to the seven heads that Teju Jagua has. I arrived at this word "solidarity" because of the large number of heads.

Me inspiré en las palabras de Bobby Seale, presidente del Partido de las Panteras Negras del Movimiento por los Derechos Civiles, que dijo: "No se combate el racismo con el racismo, la mejor manera de combatir el racismo es con la solidaridad". Lo interpreté como un llamamiento a la dignidad, la justicia y la libertad en solidaridad, y di estos cuatro caracteres a las siete cabezas que tiene Teju Jagua. Llegué a esta palabra "solidaridad" por el gran número de cabezas.
And because I'm Japanese? When I drew a dog.. it turned out to be my favorite OKinawense Shisa.
Maybe because Shisa is often seen in pottery, I imagened the texture of Shisa is hard .... In old paintings of komainu (guardian dogs) and karajishi (lions), the fur and patterns look like scales and hard skin. Is it just me?
That's what I thought, and that's how I output this character.

¿Y porque soy japonés? Cuando dibujé un perro... resultó ser mi favorito Okinawense Shisa.
Tal vez porque Shisa se ve a menudo en la cerámica, me imaginé la textura de Shisa es duro .... En las pinturas antiguas de komainu (perros guardianes) y karajishi (leones), el pelaje y los dibujos parecen escamas y piel dura. ¿Soy yo?
